The Wallanlagen Ring and Niddapark
The Wallanlagen Ring is a roughly 5 kilometre paved loop following the line of Frankfurt's former medieval city walls, now a continuous green belt around the old town, passing old city gate sites such as the Eschenheimer Turm along the way. Niddapark, along the Nidda river, is flatter and quieter again, and hosts a free, community-run 5 kilometre parkrun every Saturday morning.
Running the Frankfurt Marathon Course
The Frankfurt Marathon, held annually since 1981 and one of Europe's flattest certified marathon courses at just 27.8 metres of total elevation change, starts and finishes near the Festhalle and runs through Sachsenhausen and Höchst before returning along Mainzer Landstraße.
