Frankfurt City Council Approves Masterplan Mobilität and 2026 Budget

Changes to daily travel routes

The 2026 city budget was approved by the Greens-SPD-Volt coalition. It still requires four additional votes from the CDU or The Linke. Negotiations continue on issues including bike path reviews and municipal employee wages. Until those votes are secured, funding for schools, housing support and community programmes remains subject to final agreement.
